The Family Company
Bath Time Renovations, LLC is owned and operated by Michael Thompson. The Thompson family has ties in the DFW area going back several generations.  Michael was born in Ft. Hood and has spent his career constructing buildings from the ground up. His focus turned to bathroom remodeling after marrying into the business. The littlest of the Thompson's attend a local Montessori and look forward to going to elementary school in the Frisco ISD.

Not a Franchise
Unlike many other companies: Rebath, Bathfitter or Luxury Bath, we are not a franchise. This means that we do not pay franchise fees which inflates our competitors prices which is then  passed along to you.  Bath Time Renovations is a local Texas company with 20 years experience in remodeling.  

Q: Will I be able to select my own styles and cabinets?
A: Of course. We have a great selection of styles from Contemporary to Traditional, whether you are doing a full or partial remodel. This also includes cabinet selections in a wide variety of finishes and door styles.

Q:How many color choices will I have, what brand of paint do you use?
A: We use only the finest Dunn Edwards paint finishes and have thousands of colors to choose from.

Q: Will I have a good selection of tiles, countertops, granite and marble?
A: Yes. Our tile, solid surface countertops and natural stone countertops come in a variety of styles and colors. Our accent liners and decorative trims add a custom touch to every bath we build. And, small changes like this can update your current bathroom at a very reasonable cost.

Q: Am I limited in choice of bathroom fixtures/lighting fixtures?
A: We have chosen the most popular and highest quality fixtures from hundreds of well known manufacturers like Kohler, Moen, Grohe and Toto. We’re certain that our variety will meet your needs.

Q:Can you create a bath geared for seniors (Walk-In Tub, etc.)?
A: We have two senior bath options as well as many design selections that take changing needs into consideration. The first senior specific bathroom is our economy model that includes a specially designed tub/shower area complete with grab bars, a seat and other safety features. The Platinum model consists of the Premier Walk-In Tub system which is fantastic. You should be able to tell from the names that there is a price point difference.

Q: How much will the job cost?
A: This will depend on a variety of factors such as size of bathroom, complexity of layout and choice of products. Our bathrooms can start as low as $1,500.

Q: Is money held in escrow until the job is completed and signed off?
A: We typically require a deposit to order materials and book your start date but we don’t require full payment until the project is 100% complete.

Q: I have already purchased all of my fixtures and hardware. Can BTR just install everything for me?
A: Yes.

Q: Can I keep my brand new (shower, sink, tile, floor) and just remodel around it? Will BTR just do a vanity or floor or a shower?
A: Yes. Our consultant can better assist you with this question as each scenario is unique.

Q: If you claim you can remodel my bathroom in one day, why do I have to wait several weeks before the remodel begins?
A: After the consultation, the consultant will submit the contract. Ordering, planning, checking and double checking of products, and planning takes place before we set foot in your home to construct your actual remodel. This proper planning insures that we can complete your bath in just one day.

Q: Does BTR dispose of the debris and old fixtures?
A: Absolutely. When we are done all you are left with is the bathroom of your dreams.

Q: Can you move a toilet, sink or tub around?
A: Yes. We do move minor plumbing to facilitate your remodel.

Q: What is included in a complete bathroom remodel?
A: We gut the entire bathroom and install everything brand-new.  This includes fixtures, fittings, tile, counters, cabinets, mirrors, lighting and all of the other elements that will make your bathroom the most beautiful room in your home.

Q: Does BTR do Jacuzzi Tubs?
A: We carry a limited amount of Spa type tubs. Our Consultant can tell you all about them.

Q: Do you repair water damage?
A: If you have a small amount of water damage, typically our installation crew can deal with this. Of course this will depend on the severity of the water damage. Our Bath Design Specialist can explain more about that at your consultation.

Q: Why should I have an acrylic bathtub or tub liner installed instead of removing my old tub?
A: Removing a bathtub is a difficult and messy job. The process can damage flooring, walls and plumbing, and put your bathroom out of service for days. When you choose BTR, we will install a beautiful new acrylic bathtub liner right over your old one in a matter of hours.

Q: Why shouldn't I just use bathtub resurfacing or bathtub refinishing?
A; Repainting can make a bathtub look very good. Unfortunately, such painted-on finishes are fragile and require special care. Most jobs we have encountered have to be redone within two to five years. There is also a strong odor associated with repainting, and the coating requires three or four days to dry. You may want to ask someone who has used bathtub refinishing to see what they thought of the process and the results. Additionally, bathtub resurfacing does not provide a long-term solution that’s seamless and easy to clean. Installing an acrylic tub liner or acrylic shower provides a long-lasting, efficient solution to revive your bathroom.

Q: Is the one-piece Bath Time acrylic wall installed right over my old tile?
A: Yes. Our unique, one-piece seamless wall system is installed right over existing tiling. If necessary, we repair any bad spots in your wall first to ensure a solid, secure base for your new tub surround or shower surround.

Q: How will it look when it's done?
A: A shower surround, bathtub liner or shower conversion installation will transform your bathroom beautifully and look like you installed a brand new bathroom. Our products are durable and virtually maintenance free.

Q: Can mold grow behind the new wall and under the new tub?
A: No, mold only grows in the presence of moisture. Our system seals and waterproofs the underlying area. Therefore, mold will not grow. We ensure this by thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting the existing surfaces prior to installing the new tub and wall.

Q: How long will a Bath Time acrylic bathtub liner or shower surround last?
A: Acrylic baths and showers have been used extensively in bathtubs and spas throughout North America for 25 or 30 years and much longer in Europe. Acrylic, unlike porcelain, fiberglass or enamel surfaces, can be maintained and kept looking brand new even after years of use with the application of a simple buffing compound. Also, because the material is colored all the way through, minor scratches won't show and deeper ones can be buffed out.
